● Mozgov Remains A Cav

The Cleveland Plain-Dealer is reporting that the Cleveland Cavaliers have picked up their option on center Timofey Mozgov for next season, reported to be $4,950,000.

Mozgov was acquired from the Denver Nuggets on January 7th along with the Nuggets 2015 2nd round pick (#53) in exchange for two conditional first-round picks. Mozgov was originally signed as a free agent by the New York Knicks and was sent to the Nuggets in the Carmelo Anthony trade.

Mozgov played in 46 games for the Cavs, starting all but one. He averaged 10.6 points and seven rebounds while logging in 25 minutes per game in the regular season and played in all 20 of the Cavs’ playoff games.
